Whenb applying gelcoat these handy mil guauges are handy for measuring the correct mil thickness or gelcoat.

On average regualar gelcoat sprayed or bushed should be betwenn 15 to 25 mils wet  this help to reduce aligatoring which usually happens when gelcoat is too thin.  Tooling gel apply up to 30 to 40 mills wet.
